My
Stage Rally Car Specification
The
story of my pride and joy, sorry rally car: There are some pictures
available, as my collection grows i will add them to the site.
I wasn't really intending on building my own car, wasn't really
intending on buying a car, but after I had attained my BARS (British
Association Rally Schools) Stage rally drivers licence; and after
a superb day in South Wales under the watchful eye of David Higgins,
it was the logical thing to do!!
So I am now the proud owner of a White, Peugeot 1.6 205Gti. Built
by my fair hands (with a helping hand from a few friends, Johnny
mainly) from a bare shell.
People have asked me after I have told them what I am doing and
nearly everyone that has shown an interest in motorsport has asked
"Build or buy??" and Why??
The latter being one that I can't answer!!!
The original intention was to build the car effectively as a stage
rally car (as funds allow), with back seats so it is able to comply/compete
in road rallies. (MSA Blue book section K). But after doing my first
stage event as a navvi this all went to pot, i've been bitten by
the stage bug. The car is defined as being Class 2 (Under 1600cc)
